Yes! What people like in pet photography is very personal, and subjective: I want you to be happy with the work that I do for you.
If you're not completely satisfied (for any reason) I'll give you a full refund or another pet photo session at no additional charge.
Yes!
I like pet photography that can capture a mood, show a relationship between you and your pet, or tell a story.
When doing dog photos or animal portraits, I usually spend 2-3 hours with a client and shoot 2 rolls of film (72 images).
After our photo session the film is developed, scanned, and posted to a private web site for your review.
I do all of my own black & white film printing, and matting.
After you make your selection it will take approximately 3-4 weeks before you receive the final prints.
Both! I do my studio work in Martinez, which is about 30 miles east of San Francisco.
Location shots can be done at your home, yard, park, or any place of your choosing.
Several years ago I took a class in darkroom printing. I fell in love with the process and the prints that could be created, like magic,
in the developing trays. The darkroom classes led to more classes and training in photographic techniques.
During my training I experimented with photographing landscapes, buildings, nature, and many different subjects. But nothing is as
rewarding
as photographing pets and their human companions.
Both. For events I almost always use digital. For private sessions I almost always use film. I like the unique characteristics that are found
with each type of film.
Whether I'm photographing using film, digital, color or black & white, my goal is to take a portrait of your pet that you'll treasure for years to come.
